La Cascina was an old farmhouse that has been completely renovated. It has 5 studio apartments and 5 two roomed apartments, all furnished in pinewood. On the ground floor there is a light and airy bar/sitting room where breakfast is served.

Hi, I'm Emily! I was born in Poole, by the sea side, but I have lived all my life in Sauze d'Oulx, Italy. I am 29 and have been a ski instructor since 2014. I have skied practically all the winters of my life since I was 3 years old, so it seems a way of life to me. So with plenty of skiing experience and being an instructor for almost 10 years, I feel I am fresh with the latest updated techniques which I am keen to pass on to you. I enjoy teaching all levels and ages, from the kids who want action and fun to the more mature, who want to improve their technique and also have a good ski.

The Stella Alpina has a variety of rooms all feature handmade wood furniture, some have hydro-massage baths, while all have TV, telephone and WI-FI. On the first floor is a restaurant reserved for hotel guests, and on the ground floor there is a welcoming après ski bar with open fire.

Opened in July 2002, la Cascina was an old farmhouse that has been completely renovated. It has 5 studio apartments and 5 two roomed apartments, all furnished in pinewood. On the ground floor there is a light and airy bar/sitting room where breakfast is served. There is large private parking both covered and uncovered. In addition, the ample grounds have chairs and benches for picnics or relaxation.
The studios and apartments are available on a Bed and Breakfast or self-catering basis. There are many local shops and restaurants within easy walking distance of Residence Cascina Genzianella.

Residence Cascina Genzianella is just 10 minutes drive from the ski resort of Sauze d’Oulx, the start of the famous Milky Way (Via Lattea) skiing area and the resorts/areas of Sestriere, Pragelato, Bardonecchia, Claviere, Cesana Torinese, San Sicario and Montgenevre are all within striking distance. A little further afield is Serre Chevalier, Cervinia, La Thuile, Courmayeur and Pila.
The Genzianella is in the Susa valley. The area is a mecca for road cyclists attempting mountain stages (even the Tour de France one from Gap to Pinerolo via Sestriere) and mountain biking. There are many routes through and across the mountains with marked trails. For those that love the Alpine life, walking trails are numerous and offer you the chance to spot wild alpine flowers in their native habitat, animals from marmots to ibex and soak-up the healthy mountain atmosphere.
Day trips are easy to Turin. Both train and car take about one hour and give you the opportunity to see Turin’s many museums and historic sites along with markets and, of course, sample the culinary delights of Turin’s many cafes and restaurants. The fortified French town of Montgenevre is a short drive away as are the forts of Exilles and Fenestrelle plus many local Italian towns offering good wine and food, festivals and activities.
